We needed an off road vehicle to go into and out of steeply extreme terrain to remove slash and cut up logs from trees we cut down that were pine beetle infested. After much research we purchased our Ranger HD complete with the Boss Snow Plow and Front Bucket options and Hydraulics to support those options. With the bucket in place and a small utility trailer approximately 5' by 5' we hauled large cuts of the trees and slash we had cut down up and over the extremely steep terrain. At times, we had up to 300lbs. in the bucket, another 500 to 700 lbs in the cargo box and up to another 300 lbs in the trailer. The Ranger HD performed terrifically. It handled the steep and extreme terrain as well the large rocks and other obstacles in our path. The Boss Hydraulic system and the accompanying Bucket and Snow Plow are well thought out and easy to attach and detach. Since using the Ranger HD for the heavy work load, we have also enjoyed the recreational aspect of it several time now and we are amazed how smooth riding and comfortable it is. The power steering is a great addition to it for both work and play.
Upgrades/Accessories: Boss Plow and Bucket System and Hydraulics. Also recommend axle guards, nerf bars, and protective rear bumper guard. Heavy duty front spring option should be added for heavy work.
